What data NutriSnap collects

NutriSnap collects only what you provide directly:

• Your name, age, sex, height, and weight (entered during onboarding)
• Food diary entries (foods logged, meals, serving sizes)
• Water intake and exercise logs
• Weight measurements you log over time
• Custom foods and saved meal combinations you create
• Your goals and nutrition targets

Where your data lives

All your data stays on your device. NutriSnap stores everything in your browser's local storage (localStorage/IndexedDB). We do not operate servers that receive, store, or process your personal data. Your food diary, weight logs, and profile never leave your phone or computer unless you choose to export them yourself.

External services we use

NutriSnap contacts these third-party services when you use specific features:

• Open Food Facts (world.openfoodfacts.org) — when you search for foods or scan a barcode. Your search query or barcode number is sent. Open Food Facts is an open-source, non-profit food database. See their privacy policy.
• TheMealDB (www.themealdb.com) — when you browse recipes. Only your search terms are sent. No personal data.
• Ollama (local AI) — if you enable local AI, messages are sent to Ollama running on your own computer at localhost. Your data never leaves your device for AI features.
• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) — to load the app's fonts. Your IP address may be logged by Google. See Google's privacy policy.

What we do NOT do

• We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
• We do not use advertising networks or tracking pixels.
• We do not create user accounts or require sign-in.
• We do not send your food logs or health data to any analytics service.

How to delete your data

To delete all your NutriSnap data: open the app, go to Profile → Delete All Data. This permanently removes everything stored on your device. You can also clear your browser's site data for this domain.

To export your data before deleting: go to Profile → Export My Data.

HIPAA

NutriSnap is a consumer wellness app. It is not a covered entity under HIPAA and does not store Protected Health Information as defined by HIPAA. It is not intended to replace medical advice.

Children

NutriSnap is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as features change. The current version is always at this URL.
